NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of the San Juan Water Conservancy District (SJWCD) is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 1 PM (Mountain Standard Time).

The meeting will be at the SJWCD office at 46 Eaton Drive Suite 5, Pagosa Springs, CO. The SJWCD Board requires an Executive Session and discussion of shared documents related to the agenda below. This meeting is in-person only.

Proposed Agenda for the Regular Meeting is as follows:

1. Call to Order

2. Revisions to Agenda and Approval of Agenda

3. Disclosures of Conflict of Interest

6. Executive Session. Upon an affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the members present, the San Juan Water Conservancy District will go into executive session pursuant to section 24-6-402(4) of the Colorado Revised Statutes to discuss matters concerning the transfer or sale of real, personal or other property interest pursuant to section 24-6-402(4)(a) of the Colorado Revised Statutes, to receive legal advice from counsel and negotiations re property ownership and strategy pursuant to section 24-6-402(4)(b), C.R.S., and to determine positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations, developing strategy for negotiations, and instructing negotiators pursuant to section 24-6-402(4)(e), C.R.S., all regarding the potential sale of the Running Iron Ranch on the initiative of the Pagosa Area Water & Sanitation District and related litigation (Case No. 24CV30069 filed in Archuleta County District Court), settlement negotiations, and public statements.

7. Consideration of Actions regarding the Running Iron Ranch and Related Litigation (Case No. 24CV30069 filed in Archuleta County District Court), settlement negotiations, and public statements.

Join us for the premiere of “In Between Water and Fire,” the third film in SJWCD’s “This Is Your Watershed” series. The location is Pagosa Lodge on May 20 at 5:30 pm. In addition to viewing all three Upper San Juan Watershed films, guests will enjoy relevant discussions about water and related issues. There is no charge.

Notice of Work Session, May 1

San Juan Water Conservancy District scheduled a Work Session for 1 PM on Thursday, May 1, at 46 Eaton Drive Suite 5. All Directors are welcome to engage in discussion with Monica Nigon, SJWCD Intern from Blue Elements (Americorps). A Work Session is open to the public. There is no agenda, no Zoom, no opportunity for public comment, and no actions will be taken.

San Juan Water Conservancy District scheduled a Work Session for 1 PM on Tuesday, March 25, at 46 Eaton Drive Suite 5. All Directors are welcome to engage in a discussion of Strategic Objective One: Redefine the financial partnership for Running Iron Ranch. A Work Session is open to the public. There is no agenda, no opportunity for public comment, and no actions will be taken.

Notice of Work Session, March 24

San Juan Water Conservancy District has scheduled a joint Work Session with Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District for 10 AM on Monday, March 24. Members of  both boards will meet at the entrance to Running Iron Ranch. The topic of the Work Session is the current and future maintenance of the jointly owned property. A work session is open to the public. There is no agenda or opportunity for public comment. No actions or decisions will be made.
